Blackboard entry by cindy beuhlah

A Creative Pool project by cindy beuhlah (Canada)

Psychotype, which was created by silkscreening symmetrical images onto recycled cardboard, is an illustrative font based on the Rorschach psychological test. Like images from the real Rorschach test, this font’s characters can be viewed and interpreted from many different points of view. Therefore, text written in Psychotype can be read more freely than text written in a standard font. In effect, it is possible for the reader of Psychotype to see both the letters and the shapes that they want to see. It was a challenging process creating symmetrical letters out of asymmetrical ones. Psychotype was published (online) on the German website PAGE_online.de and also on designmadeingermany.de in 2012.
