Autoban

Modern Highways into Traditional Space
Posted by Angie—03/2014

Hailing from the East-meets-West melting pot Istanbul, Autoban’s Seyhan Özdemir and Sefer Çağlar have established themselves as stars on the global design scene. The duo create spectacular furniture pieces and interiors at the nexus between Asia and Europe, wholeheartedly melding respect for tradition with modern straightforwardness.

Gestalten.tv gladly accepted an invitation by Özdemir and Çağlar to Istanbul to experience some of their stunning “spatialities” on location. From passion and dreams to hustle and bustle—everything that happens in the city becomes a design inspiration and functions to form a distinctive visual experience. Stroll with us here in this mesmerizing city. Çok teşekkür ederim!

Gestalten’s new book Autoban presents a rich selection of the studio’s breathtaking projects that are documented in striking photographs and plans.
