Visualizing Music

The Design of “For The Record”
Posted by Gestalten—10/2013

In celebration of its 15th Anniversary, the Red Bull Music Academy—revered as one of the most progressive institutions in today’s musical landscape—has paired up a compelling selection of top artists, celebrated producers and industry insiders, curating conversations on some of the most relevant topics in music today. Together with the stunning visual design by Chris Rehberger’s Double Standards agency, the results make for one of the most insightful publications on the current state of music and the music industry.

In this video, Chris Rehberger unfolds the making and approach of each distinctive dialogue showcased in the book. From concept and technique to the rhythm of language, every conversation is illustrated with special design tailor-made for each featured music legend. For the Record is a veritably inspirational cornucopia for all die-hard music lovers out there.
