In this two-day intensive workshop, participants will work collaboratively with Jessica Hische to develop and create a full vector alphabet by the end of the two days. Through several rounds of group critiques and concentrated work sessions, the alphabet will evolve from idea to sketch to refined vector execution. This is a great workshop for beginning to intermediate level letterers that want to learn a lot about drawing type in a short amount of time.
The workshop cost covers all analog supplies, coffee breakfast, sweets, and sandwiches. We’ll also throw in a beer or two at the end of the workshop for a little reward.
Required: Participants must bring their own laptop with Adobe Illustrator installed. If you use a mouse or wacom tablet for vector drawing, bring that as well.
