“Book Art” Takes It Home
Book Art, edited by London-based Paul Sloman and designed and published by Gestalten, is the winner of British Book Design and Production Awards 2012 in the category “Trade Illustrated.” The awards in 15 different categories were unveiled on November 20th, 2012. Over 400 books were entered this year.
Book Art is a stunning documentation of current art, installation, and design created with and from books. The fascinating range of examples, which is as diverse as books themselves, offers eloquent proof that—despite or because of digital media’s inroads as sources of text information—the book’s legacy as a carrier of ideas and communication is being expanded today.
