Akatre

On the Cover of GRID
Posted by Gestalten—01/2013

The young graphic studio in Paris has created the cover image for the upcoming second issue of GRID magazine. The magazine, run by Gerrit Terstiege and designed by Mario Lombardo, also contains a large feature on Akatre and their first monograph Zero to Five, recently published by Gestalten. Fitting the issue's theme on color, Zero to Five is conceptually laid out to the color spectrum.

Founded in 2007 and comprising Julien Dhivert, Sébastien Riveron, and Valentin Abad, and now one of the most coveted studios in Paris, Akatre takes on projects that require an involved and all-encompassing design approach. Zero to Five is the first book to showcase Akartre’s distinctive and experimental visual creations, which cross fluidly between photography, graphic and web design, art, and typography. The book features both non-commissioned work and work designed for clients in art, culture, music, fashion, and luxury fields.
