me Collectors Room Berlin will be presenting the largest collection of figurines in Europe, roughly 15,000 pieces. A further focus of the collection lies in works in the realm of street art and surrealistic pop and includes artists such as Shepard Fairey, JR, and Blek Le Rat, who are featured in Art & Agenda, Walls & Frames, and Beyond the Street. Visitors can additonally view artworks by FAILE, which have also produced FAILE Temple, FAILE Temple Studio Edition, and Lavender.
The exhibition includes a total of 3,000 works by more than 200 artists & designers. The toys are detailed miniature sculptures that have emerged from the imaginations of contemporary urban artists and designers, or from politics, current events, film industry, comics, and manga. The 39-year-old collector, Selim Varol, from Düsseldorf with Turkish roots will hold a talk on June 1st at 6.30 pm. Admission is free and the talk will be in German.
