Backjumps Christmas Special 2013

at Kunstraum Kreuzberg/Bethanien
Posted by Gestalten—12/2013

Backjumps is back! The exhibition format for urban communication and aesthetics returns with a Christmas special this year. And this is just a foretaste on what is to come next year when Backjumps celebrates its 20 years of exhibition making.

Curated by Adrian Nabi, the weekend-long exhibition is showcasing 13 Berlin-based artists including familiar faces from the last Backjumps The Live Issues, like Dave the Chimp, PHOS4, and Kacao77. The project space—open to all art lovers, skeptics and friends—proves once again that street art can definitely be considered a serious art form. What's more, a number of Gestalten books will be available, ranging from Urban Interventions and Art & Agenda to the monographs of Mark Jenkins, XOOOOX, Brad Downey and Aram Bartholl.

Exhibiting artists: Amok, Kacao77, PHOS4, Brad Downey, The Wa, Markus Mai, Matthias Wermke, Mode2, Markus Butkereid, Arunski & Poet, Dave de Chimp, Daniel Weissbach, Mischa Leinkauf.

Opening: Friday, December 13, from 7:00PM.
