Does This Happen to Everyone? featured on Publishers Weekly. "Taking an empathetic and respectful approach to sex education, Von Hollenben and Helms blend humor, factual information, and candid advice. A valuable resource that normalizes and affirms sexuality while suggesting that puberty is a time of both physical and intellectual growth.”
Another instalment of Beyonderground is taking place this month and the program is jam-packed. Between now and May 5th, Beyonderground is transforming the Belgian town of Hasselt into a “graphic city.” The festival will turn to the streets and offer visitors countless opportunities to enjoy street art, browse concept shops and independent galleries, and experience plenty of pop-up shows by graphic artists.
The climax of the festival is the Beyonderground conference on April 26th and 27th at Kunstencentrum België. An incredible roster of artists and designers will be featured in numerous talks, performances, workshops, documentaries, exhibits, live painting sessions, and DJ sets. Among them are Pablo Abad (Pretty Ugly), Ugo Gattoni (Velo—2nd Gear), Playtype (Northern Delights, Type Navigator), Bureau Bruneau (Los Logos 6), Mario Hugo (Precursor), Hort’s Eike König (Introducing Culture Identities, Los Logos Compass), Hansje van Halem (NeoGeo), Kokoro & Moi (Los Logos 4), Hattie Newman (Papercraft 2, Arcadia), Job Wouters (Letman, Hand to Type), Serial Cut (Playful Type 2, Visual Storytelling), and many more!
