My First Dream by Diego Brambilla

Cinematographic Images Blur the Lines between the Real and the Staged

Space travel is strictly unbelievable for many. Indeed, a group of nonbelievers stubbornly conspire that Neil Armstrong's historic great leap for mankind was staged even today. Italian photographer Diego Brambilla explores this anxiety in his series My First Dream. The landscapes and settings seem unfamiliar, but hidden in the craters and mounds is the truth: the images are, in fact, impossible. His photographs explore the uncanny and the anxiety of ambiguity. Distanced from reality, the photos’ disconnected narrative is a story of its own.
