Qiyunshan Tree House

The Childhood Staple with a Twist from Bengo Studio
Posted by Gestalten—05/2017

Secluded, safe, and above the pedestrian walkways: tree houses have and always will be a sanctuary fondly reminiscent of childhoods spent around the world. The Qiyunshan Tree House by Bengo Studio offers a similar escape into the clouds with an unexpected twist. Stemming from a central axis, a total of six jetties project out from the core, each providing a unique vantage point for the inhabitants to reflect on the thick evergreen underbrush below. The view’s panoramic: visitors are allowed access to the rooftops of a selection of the projections from which a full 360-degree overview completes the immersive experience.

As the sunnier months quickly approach, revisit classic and innovative cabins alike in our book The Hinterland.
