A Delicious Life on Archetype Me.
Sebastian Errazuriz in London
Alongside the launch of The Journey of Sebastian Errazuriz at this year’s London Design Festival, Sebastian Errazuriz will be unveiling a selection of exceptional hand-made models, drawings, and blueprints behind some of his most iconic pieces.
Each wood model is crafted with a level of detail and obsession that surpasses any possible functional requirement as a maquette and becomes instead a miniature sculpture that captures the intimacy and poetry behind each one of Sebastian’s life-size functional pieces.
Together with these exquisite small-scale studies Errazuriz will also present his finalized full size version of the “Boat Coffin” and a new version of the “Body of Work” coffee table photographed as if he had just passed away. The designer hopes to transform the exhibition into a sort of funeral or wake in which his monograph launch marks the end of a decade of work and the start of a new one.
Opening: September 19th, 19:00-23:00
