Does This Happen to Everyone? featured on Publishers Weekly. "Taking an empathetic and respectful approach to sex education, Von Hollenben and Helms blend humor, factual information, and candid advice. A valuable resource that normalizes and affirms sexuality while suggesting that puberty is a time of both physical and intellectual growth.”
We are partnering with Portland’s Struktur Event, the first-ever creative conference for the active outdoor design industry. On May 1–2, Struktur will offer a two-day program of bold visionary presentations, exploring the intersection of user experience, trend research, materials science, and their influence on design. Neither a fashion show nor a trade show, this cross-disciplinary event is a chance to experience the breakthrough ideas of a new age of design.
The exciting speaker line-up includes Alpine Hammock’s Mike Brown, Poler Stuff’s Benji Wagner, Oru Kayak’s Anton Willis, Andrea Westerlind of Westerlind, to name but a few. They are all active in supporting the role of design while moving the outdoor industry forward.
Our new book The Outsiders: New Outdoor Creativity will also be presented and raffled off as prizes at the conference. The Outsiders captures the refreshing and evolving ethos of today’s smartly successful outdoor entrepreneurs and features interviews with key players from across the outdoor sector, including Patagonia’s Vincent Stanley and Poler’s Benji Wagner, polar explorer Arved Fuchs, expedition paddler Mark Kalch, champion free-skier Ane Enderud, surf photographer Chris Burkard, custom motorcycle builder James Crowe, and more. They are all innovators who rethink the ways in which the fundamental challenges posed by the wilderness meet the aesthetic needs of design-literate adventurers.
Limited tickets are available. Join us for the Struktur’s inaugural gathering in Portland, as a city that sees the value outdoor design brings to people.
