On the Way to Wheels & Waves

June 12–15 / Biarritz, France
Posted by Gestalten—06/2014

Speed, style and freedom—we are beyond stoked to return to Biarritz this weekend for the event Wheels and Waves, a festival dedicated to surfing and custom motorcycles. With its fine blend of mechanics, vintage, surfing, art and music, it has become one of the most anticipated events in the custom motorcycling scene.

In a beautiful unique coastal region of France, the city will become a platform where today's top motorcycle experts, builders, and manufacturers, who have also been featured in our book The Ride, will share their common passion and meet with fellow enthusiasts.

At the heart of the festival (the Biarritz lighthouse), faded engines and the most stunning custom bikes will be displayed. There, you will be able to view an exhibition Art Ride where stunning photography and art pieces inspired by motorcycles will be showcased. At this four-day event, the public not only gets to discover the inside-outs of this new “RIDE” culture, but also have the opportunities to participate in new activities including an amateur surf contest powered by the retro spirit of the 70’s where old-school surfboards will be reintroduced.

Gestalten will also join in for an adrenaline fueled ride with the Southsiders and document the entire adventure on film for you, so stay tuned for more.

The wait is almost over. Gear up and come along with us!
