The short film „Subtitled“ by mtrchoh reflects the concept of translation and communication. Based on subtitles, the film generates an abstract graphical representation of language. Alfred Hitchcock being the protagonist becomes fragmented. „Subtitled“ creates its own semiotic system beyond the superficial link between spoken and written words. The created meta-language used to interact with the manipulated cinematic realisation by Hitchcock.
