"Ultima is the foremost festival for contemporary music in the Nordic countries. Ultima is organized as a foun- dation where 18 cultural institutions and organizations are members, contribution to the festival. One of Ultima’s primary objectives is to contribute to offering a broad representation of the contempo...rary music genre, combining a keen interest in innovation and an awareness of tradition. In this project i tried to play with letter spacing and white space to modify/rewrite the word, how it com- municates after being rewritten. Since i’ve talking also about music, this is where my importance for white space comes in, for me, music is about time, it’s the time between notes that creates the composition, the music itself, the way that sound breathes. I decided to play also with that composition of white space to achieve my own sound for the poster, modi- fying the letter forms metric values, so that i could re- write again the word."
