What is a rainforest? What kind of animals and plants can be found there? What does everyday life of the people who live in a rainforest look like? And why is the rainforest so important for the climate? With the new non-fiction picture book Explore the Rainforest, young readers get to know this fascinating habitat and natural environment. Together with the protagonists Emma and Louis, who already led you through the previous volume Explore the World, you embark on an adventurous journey through the grand rainforest regions of the world in South America, Africa and Southeast Asia.
Award-winning writer ANNE AMERI-SIEMENS tells whimsical stories about the world around us. After working for Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung, she wrote a Spiegel bestseller in 2007. Anne lives in Berlin but would like to spend more time in the rainforest. This is her second book with Little Gestalten, after Who Invented This.
ANTON HALLMANN was born in Brandenburg, Germany, and studied illustration in Hamburg. He works for Die Zeit, Süddeutsche Zeitung, FAZ and the likes of Google, Lufthansa, or Deutsche Bahn. Anton lives in Stockholm. After Explore the World, he takes our readers on their second adventure now.
