The French Riviera has always been a place of recreation, reverie, and representation. The region’s homes, from the 18th century to the present day, reveal the architectural styles and interior designs that define the iconic Côte d’Azur. CÔTE D’AZUR LIVING explores the French Riviera through some of its most distinctive homes, architecture, and interiors. Delving into the cultural influences embedded in the built environment, this book title offers insights into the region’s design heritage. CÔTE D’AZUR LIVING features a curated selection of distinctive spaces from Menton to Arles. Featuring stunning photography and insightful commentary, examples in the book include Eileen Gray’s E-1027 (p. 78), Les Colombières (p. 204), Santo Sospir in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat (p. 144). Villa Bloc (p. 60) and Villa Galaxie (p. 28), the organic architecture of Jacques Couëlle (p. 118) and Ani Lovag (pp. 44 and 108) as well as the Fondation CAB (p. 102). At its core, this volume celebrates the Côte d’Azur’s enduring role as a crucible of creativity—a place where the interplay of light, landscape, and design continues to inspire and redefine the boundaries of architecture, expression, and life.
