A Creative Pool project by Alvaro Barcala

"APOCRYPHA" - Alvaro Barcala drawings serie. All the drawings of this serie are the outcome of my memories from a childhood in Spain. There were three main literatures at that time in my life: children tales, catholic religion and spanish history. All of them created my personal “imaginarium??? with the strong presence of blood and macabre legends but always under the perspective of a child. This perspective gets its form on the immaculate white of the paper and the perturbing precision of the lines which contains the terrible restraint of the themes with an innocent appearance. Opening on 22 February 2008 at 20h. The exhibition will be shown till 19 of March 2008. Open: thursdays+fridays 16-22h / saturdays 18-22h Galerie Knoth+Krüger Oranienstr.188 10999 Berlin www.knokru.de
