Year: 1998–20xx

Over the last 14 years, we have mailed cards from all corners of the world to galleries, newspapers and museums in Sweden. The motifs are always different, but the message remains the same: "Allt förlöper fint" (In English: Doing fine) on the front side and "Mvh. A. Granberg" (Best Regards, A. Granberg) on the back.

The project idea is to give the impression of a world citizen always on the road. In Sweden and in other countries, it is concidered important for artists to travel in order to absorb impressions and inspiration from a broad spectrum of world art and culture. However, few artists can afford it, including us. Hence, the vicarious vagabond.

Another aspect of the project is also to make the reciever, over time, interested and curious about A. Granberg.

We have e-mailed and faxed people in over 150 countries, asking for assistance in our project. Whoever is kind enough to help us recieves our home made postcards in an envelope. Adresses are already written on the postcards. These voulenteers then add their local stamps and mail the cards.

Two of the cards are adressed to us for documentation and later exhibition purposes.

The collection currently contains cards from approximately 190 countries. When we have cards from every coutry in the world, the project will be complete.

Request for assistance in art project

Dear Sir/Madam,
My name is Anders Granberg and I am living in the city of Stockholm, Sweden. Being an artist I am active in the field of contemporary arts.
I am now looking for a person living in ______ who could assist me in an art project which I am now working on and I found your address on-line.
The kind of assistance required is mailing four postcards intended for various art museums, art galleries, newspapers in Sweden.

The postcards are hand made by myself and delivered by mail in an envelope to the person who would be kind enough to help me. All postcards will be completed with a message, my name and the name of the receiver, and the only thing required is providing stamps and putting the cards in a mailbox.

If You or anyone else would be kind enough to help me with my art project I will provide a detailed project description to explain my request further.

Even if you are not able to help me I would greatly appreciate a response to this mail. Then I could try to find another contact for______ .
