A Creative Pool project by Mike Genovese

Showroom Chicago born emerging art maker Mike Genovese will display his most current projects and studio work at 32nd & urban gallery/space, in an installation entitled "Showroom". Genovese is recognized for his hand lettering, site specific work and public art approaches. The Bridgeport space allows a range of work to be displayed in one room, thus running a thread throughout the body as a whole. As his first solo gallery showing in Chicago, Genovese visually describes his act of discovery through hope and despair. He thoughtfully pairs paintings and intricately etched aluminum pieces with remnants and documentation of public projects. His art making process contextualizes the particular flux of his life, both professionally and personally. Michael came to art through careers in the amusement and sign industry, as well as photography. The objects themselves characterize an acute sense of social subject matter that can be determined as Urban Expressionism. Information: farm1.static.flickr.com/143/373063679_7d54f2423f_o.jpg
