Hello. I'm Stefano, a graphic designer based in Italy between Como and Milano, and i work in a little typography.
I achieved an infographic poster that show the sun and the hours of light and darkness for each day of the year. I've divided a circle in 366 rays (one for each day) and each ray was divided in 24 boxes to show the 24 hours of the day. Each box\hour was divided in 60 minutes to sign the dawn and the dusk. So I've filled the boxes of light and kept empty (only trace the outline) the boxes of darkness. The colored ring represent the hours of light of the year. Finally i've marked the calendar with days, weeks, months, seasons ( estabilished and astronomical based on equinoxes and solstices), and two astronomical events expected for that year.
I ask you if this project could be interesting for your "Data Flow" books.
The only thing in doubt is that i print this calendar fot the year 2012, but if the date in a problem i can adapt the graphic using infos about 2016, or redesing all the project for the present or another year.
Anyway the link to the project is: http://bit.ly/z7AWD3
Thank you for the attention. Best regards.
