Poly-Mer repurposes the single-use plastic containers of contact lenses into a shingled translucent surface. The plastic trays are held in an arrangement by a series of custom 3D-printed holders. The material surface formed by these trays is animated by an LED video of ocean waves, bringing plastic and water together as a reminder of the perils of plastic ocean pollution.
