Q: When did all start ?

just a month ago.

Q: What was the reason behind the opening of the store?

i used to be an art director in advertising. i lived in new york for 5 years.
when i returned to cape town i realized how the city needed more new york, i needed less advertising.
this is south africa's first creative book store that is completely dedicated to creativity.

Q: Could you describe the neighborhood in which the store is located?

the store is located on kloof st, cape town's corridor of trendy shops and coffee culture.
a strip of fashion stores and chic urban outlets where the people who want to see and be seen hang out.

Q: Please describe the kinds of books and other merchandise that you carry. What do you offer your customers?

books at the store all fall into the category of visual culture. be it design, advertising, film, photography or architecture.

Q: What are your favorite dgv books?

the logos series - form and function.

Q: What are your customers' favorite dgv books?

los, dos, tres logos.

Q: Who might be seen visiting the store? What kinds of people shop there?

the creative professional community. directors, creative directors, photographers, designers.

Q: Do you do anything at your store besides sell books? Do you, for example, have any events or exhibitions there?

one wall serves as a gallery space. the windows will serve as a canvas for designers in the city.
the service we provide is the monthly building of libraries for advertising agencies and production companies
