Eating In at Hallesches Haus
Good food is meant to be shared, so we brought tasty snacks and fresh beverages to the airy halls of concept store Hallesches Haus in Berlin to celebrate the launch of our book Stay for Breakfast. Simone Hawlisch of @fraueleinsonntag, who co-edited the book, was at hand to present our new tribute to the most important meal of each day. We had a bar stocked with whiskey for contemporary takes on the Bloody Mary and Moscow Mule, and a lush spread of cheese, dried fruit, and ripe figs.
With a thoughtful preface by Hawlisch, who we interviewed ahead of the book’s launch, Stay for Breakfast traces the global recipes and rituals that define the first meal of our day. Cultural heritages and histories are explained as its pages unfold. See more photos from the launch party below, or browse the book in our webshop. The book is also available in German.
