Entrepinos Housing by Taller Hector Barroso
The Entrepinos Housing complex by Taller Hector Barroso is a series of five houses, each composed of six volumes radiating from a central patio from which residents can enjoy the balmy sun and toasty warmth typical of the Valle de Bravo region of Mexico. These raised courtyards take full advantage of the rolling natural landscape. Each home is built with entrances to the north and open voids to the south from which natural light flows in and the majestic views can be enjoyed. It's perhaps the greatest joy of working and greatest challenge for architects working where it is warmer: Crafting spaces that offer both a space to enjoy the sun’s rays ans well as a sturdy shelter from its excesses is a stiff balancing act. See how other architects and designers are working with the weather in our book Living Under the Sun.
