Open Call to All that Create

180 Creative Camp 2014

Posted by Gestalten—05/2014

From July 13 to 20, Portugal will become the world stage of the creative turmoil as the 3rd edition of 180 Creative Camp launches in Abrantes. Two international contests are open to find participants and urban intervention projects until June 8.

Tell stories, transmit messages and communicate globally—these are the 3 key elements of this year's 180 Creative Camp, themed ‘The Power of Storytelling.’ Introduced by Canal180 and the Municipality of Abrantes, the camp encompasses eight days of video production, urban intervention, masterclasses, workshops and talks with the talents who continue to challenge contemporary culture.

Proud to become the first five participating artists, Gestalten.tv is looking forward to experiencing the one-week creative collaborations together with Olaf Breuning, Isaac Cordal, Ella&Pitr, and Like Knows Like. Until June 8, you may apply to become one of us as the 20 selected creators. All participants will be rewarded with access to all activities at 180 Creative Camp with all expenses covered. Additonally, 180 Creative Camp is also launching an international open call to select two urban intervention projects with a value of up to 2500 euros to be implemented in the historical center of Abrantes.

180 Creative Camp is an original concept by Canal180 that will bring to the town of Abrantes, Portugal, some of the most innovative international creators in the areas of video, music, photography, design, cinema, architecture, installation and fine arts. It is a challenge for 180 Creative Camp to create history in Abrantes, telling at the same time the story of the town’s creative invasion of creators from different countries and artistic areas. After introducing the ‘Think Big’ theme in 2012, 180 Creative Camp returns to the peaceful town of Abrantes to keep promoting and boosting creative collaborations in media arts.
