Artist Carsten Nicolai has made his name as one of Germany’s most influential new media artists. His work weaves between science and aesthetics, exploring how light, sound, and theory unravel when read in harmony. It’s at this intersection that Nicolai's latest piece exists. The show opened last night at Berlinische Gallery, and explores a condition–one in which Einstein himself was interested–by which two quantum systems share a telepathic link through which a change in one system leads to a direct and instantaneous change in the sister set. Interested? The show is open through September 3, or check out our books Parallel Lines Cross at Infinity, raster-noton.oacis, and syn chronwhich follow and expand upon the Nicolai’s future-forward ideas and workflow.
